Presidential candidate Ted Cruz spoke to an enthusiastic crowd gathered to see and hear him at Lake Dardanelle State Park on August 12, 2015. He elaborated on five things he says would be priority actions on his first day as President:

1. “Rescind every single illegal and unconstitutional executive action.”
2. “Instruct the U.S. Department of Justice to open an investigation into Planned Parenthood … and to investigate any and all criminal violations by that organization.”
3. “Instruct the Department of Justice and the IRS, and every agency of the federal government, that the persecution of religious liberty ends today.”
4. “Rip to shreds this catastrophic Iranian nuclear deal.”
5. “Begin the process of moving the American Embassy in Israel to Jerusalem, the once and eternal capitol of Israel.”

“In the days that follow I will go to congress and we will repeal every word of Obamacare. In the days that follow … I will instruct the Federal Department of education that Common Core ends today … we will rebuild our military and we will stand by the promises made to our soldiers and sailors and airmen and marines … and we will allow our service men and women to exercise their right to keep and bear arms and to defend themselves …”
