Beth Ann Rankin, 1994 Miss Arkansas and sometimes political candidate visited Garland County Treasurer Tim Stockdale in his office Tuesday morning, April 28, 2015. Her visit was in connection with her current employment with the Office of the Treasure of the State of Arkansas promoting awareness and participation in the “GIFT AR 529 COLLEGE INVESTING PLAN”.  She is scheduling visits with each of the seventy-five Arkansas County Treasurers as part of her work promoting the legislatively enacted College Investing Plan.

“One (1) person in each county in the State of Arkansas will be awarded $529 to be deposited in that person’s Section 529 GIFT College Investing Plan account. The winner will be chosen at a drawing to be held at the Office of the Treasurer of State on August 10, 2015 … Entries will be accepted beginning March 6, 2015 and ending July 31, 2015”.
